Recently, Jarret interned at Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design located in New York City where he expanded his knowledge of the lighting industry by working on multiple projects varying from the schematic to construction documentation stages of the design process.  His responsibilities included developing lighting layouts and control schemes, constructing 3-D models, researching luminaires, and performing lighting/energy calculations.  Jarret’s project experience included academic buildings, high-end residencies, theaters, and athletic stadiums.

 

 

Jarret is an active member of the Penn State Billiards Club and serves as the club’s liaison for intercollegiate competitions. His efforts allow the club to travel to several tournaments annually to compete and network with schools throughout the Midwest and eastern coast.  While billiards is one of Jarret’s favorite past times, he also enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, golfing, and is continually seeking new challenges.

Jarret Clark is currently in his 5th-year of study in Penn State’s Architectural Engineering program.  In May 2014, Jarret will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with a focus in lighting and electrical design.  Throughout his five years of study, Jarret’s coursework has covered multiple disciplines including architecture, architectural lighting, electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, structural design, and construction processes.  Across various academic projects and professional experience, Jarret has acquired valuable skills in the most current computer programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop as well as specialized software such as AGi32/ElumTools and Daysim for lighting and energy analysis.
