The AE Senior Thesis is a challenging yearlong design project that incorporated multiple topics studied throughout the five year AE program. The course also allowed me to research topics of interest outside of those previously studied and allowed me to expand my knowledge. This project took traditional courses to the next level by demanding your own personal deadlines as you progress. As time elapsed, I realized how I needed to improve my time management skills in order to complete the extensive amount of work within the overall deadline. This provided me with improved self-awareness of how to manage my time efficiently and complete a project by a deadline as you would in the professional environment.

 

The CPEP website was a great medium which supported submission of work to faculty and provided updates as the project progressed in an environmentally friendly manner. It was also a nice resource to be able to view and learn from previous thesis students.
